QR code system for customers and mechanics
Van Rijn recently introduced a QR code system. With this system, it is possible to consult manuals and maintenance history by telephone. As a result, paper is no longer necessary, and it can be retrieved anytime and anywhere.
It has the advantage that every employee can consult the manual of the machine at all times. This eliminates the need to search for the paper manual somewhere in the office. A digital manual also has the advantage that it is easier to find the right chapter by means of a search function.
The system also makes work easier for service technicians. They can store documentation such as maintenance history in the digital environment. This makes it clear what has been done and replaced on the machine in the past. Other documents that are desired can also be included here, such as the manual of the device or of specific parts.
The back of the system is a secure environment within the website. For each QR code, desired documents, images and more can be placed in it so that they can be consulted. To access these files, one must log in with a username and password. For example, customers have different login details than technicians, so that everyone can access the files that are relevant to him/her.
